Pre-installation To-Do List for Katchakid Net or Cover Installation:
At Katchakid we are dedicated to ensuring your utmost satisfaction with our services. To achieve this, we kindly request that you read and adhere to the following pre-installation checklist. By following these guidelines, you can help ensure a smooth and successful experience:
1. Plan, Prepare and Communicate in Advance:
- Review Your Contract: Before the installation day, carefully review your contract and ensure that you are aware of all the agreed-upon terms and any specific instructions or requirements that need to be fulfilled before the installation. This may include tasks or preparations to be undertaken by you prior to the installation day.
- Communicate with our team: Maintain open and prompt communication with our team throughout the process. If you have any specific requirements or concerns, please inform us ahead of time so that we can accommodate your needs to the best of our ability.
2. Check your Deck:
- Our installation process involves insetting brass anchors into the deck area surrounding your pool or spa. Please ensure the materials in your deck are secure and in good repair. If there are any loose, unstable, or non-secured materials, cement them securely before our installation team arrives.
- In the case of decks with pavers-in-sand, it may be necessary to install the anchors into the coping, which is the edge surrounding the pool. It is important that the coping is securely set in concrete to ensure a stable and reliable installation. Please note that a signed waiver is required for installing anchors into the coping.
3. Clear the Pool’s Edge:
- Remove any furniture, toys, or other objects from the pool area to create a clear and accessible space for the installation.
- Trim plants back at least 2 feet from the water’s edge.
4. Ensure Access to Water and Electrical:
- Make sure there is access to a working hose and running water in the work area.
- Ensure that a functioning electrical outlet is available within 200 feet of the work area.
5. Plan To Be Available On The Day Of Installation:
- You must be available on the installation day to grant access to your backyard and address any questions or concerns the installation team may have during the installation process.
- Schedule for children and pets to be securely inside.
- IT IS IMPORTANT to be present at the end of the installation to review with the team the demonstration of the cover’s proper usage. This demonstration will ensure that you fully understand how to operate and maintain the cover effectively, ensuring its optimal functionality.
Important Note:
Please be aware that Katchakid does not offer services for repairing decking materials. It is important to note that concrete, cement and decking coatings may require sufficient time, usually several days, to cure properly before any drilling can take place. To obtain accurate information on curing times, please consult with your pool builder or contractor who can provide specific guidance for your situation. If your work area requires repair or preparation, kindly inform your sales representative, who will provide guidance and assistance. It is vital to have a properly prepared work area to avoid any potential disruptions. Failure to have a ready work area may result in the need to reschedule the installation, which may incur a re-scheduling fee. Your cooperation in ensuring a suitable work area is greatly appreciated.
