Since Katchakid invented the pool safety net over 40 years ago, we have installed pool nets for many famous clients, including Tori Spelling. Drowning prevention is always our primary focus and protecting every child is of paramount importance to us, but there is no denying that a celebrity client is fun and creates a buzz of excitement around the office. Of course, as we work in the backyard, we rarely get to see or meet our famous clients but then we installed a pool safety net for Tori Spelling & Dean McDermott!
What an easy, relaxed, lovely family. The children were SO sweet, and Tori & Dean were simply parents making sure their children’s safety was their main focus and priority in their new home. Tori took the time to learn how to use the pool safety net cover herself, showing a clear understanding of the dangers of a swimming pool and a dedicated commitment to drowning prevention. Katchakid is Proud to Partner with CPSC’s Pool Safely Campaign
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) created Pool Safely: Simple Steps Save Lives, a national public education campaign to reduce childhood drowning, non-fatal submersions and entrapments in public swimming pools and spas. The campaign carries out the requirements of the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool & Spa Safety Act (P&SS Act), federal legislation mandating new requirements for public pools and spas, including a public information campaign.
